All voters can vote early. Choose the option that is right for you.

Starting September 18th at the Fairfax County Government Center, and October 14th at any of the 14 satellite locations across Fairfax County.

Receive a ballot in the mail, and return it in the mail as early as possible. Or return in dropboxes at early or election day voting locations.

All polling locations across Fairfax County will be open on November 3, 2020 from 6 am – 7 pm on Election Day. You can vote at your polling place.

2020 Voter Timeline

  • September 18Beginning of Absentee Voting

    The first absentee ballots will be mailed, and early in-person voting begins at the Office of Elections, 12000 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax

  • October 13Voter Registration Deadline

    In-Person and By Mail must be received by 5 pm;

    Online voter registration due by 11:59 pm

  • October 14Early Voting at Satellite Locations Begins

    Fourteen locations throughout the county will open Monday - Saturday for in-person voting. Learn more.

  • October 31Last Day of Early In-Person Voting

    Final day to vote early in-person.
  • November 3Election Day

    Polls open from 6 am - 7 pm.

    Absentee ballots must be postmarked by 5 pm.
